My first grey, Hunter, liked to collect my left shoe. He would go and grab it by the front door and bring it back to his bed. He was also what we liked to call a klepto. He would go and steal something from the trash - usually a toilet paper roll - and take that back to his bed too. He never did anything too them (he would play with the TP roll) but not destroy it, and he never hurt my shoe.
