Daddy's Away

Daddy's away for work. It looks like it's going to be an eventful time without him. Mama cut the grass in our backyard because the grass was getting really tall. Daddy cut it last week, but with all the rain...it really grew. Mama said it's supposed to rain until next week, so she was scared that Daddy wouldn't be able to cut it this weekend. He doesn't like her to cut the grass. We are not sure why, but she says she doesn't like to do it anyway so he can keep the job.

Mama said there is a raccoon who is sitting along the road. She saw him when she went to the store today. She mentioned it to Daddy when he called tonight and he said it was there yesterday. He said we should not walk that way because the raccoon is either sick or hurt since he also saw it last night. Mama said a raccoon like that makes her nervous. Speaking of raccoons, one emptied out our hummingbird feeder last night. We will have to start taking the feeder in every night. We had to do that last year.

There was a bunny in our backyard. He's a silly bunny coming into our fenced area. He has all the fields and woods around here and he chooses our area. He's not very smart. I guess he doesn't know that greyhounds chase bunnies.

The big excitement of the night is that our side by side refrigerator has quit working. MAMA JUST MADE US FROSTY TREATS!!! She moved everything to the old refrigerator and freezer, so we should be okay. Scout and I supervised the moving of everything, but especially our frosty treats. Daddy will look at it when he comes home. He said he may be able to fix it. The compressor is not wanting to start. It's only 4 years old and Mama said we really cannot afford to get a new one.

I guess that's it from here. Wow, I had a lot to say today.

Greyhounds on CBS Morning Show

Did you see the greyhounds on the CBS Morning Show this morning? April is Adopt A Greyhound Month.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the greyhounds on TV.

I was so disappointed when they went to commercial. I love watching TV and if you put a greyhound on there, watch out!

Mama found the link from the morning show! Doesn't this dog look just like Scout? Yikes, there are two of them! Click on the picture to see the clip.

Hope you enjoyed watching it as much as we did.

We've Been Camping!

We just got home from camping. We went to the Lake of the Ozarks. Our campsite had a view of the lake. Scout jumped into the lake, of course. She loves the water. I avoid the water as much as possible.

We visited Ha Ha Tonka. Grandma called it Willy Wonka. Ha Ha Tonka is a castle that burned down. It's a fun place to explore. We went there last year, too. There are lots of trails and we were able to walk all around the castle. We met a couple interested in adopting greyhounds, so Mama "planted some seeds" as she calls it.

Grandma and Grandpa's RV started smoking when they plugged it in at the campsite. The campsite electric was wired wrong. It burned up their converter, microwave and TV. Mama is going to write more about all of that on her blog Greys & Things, but it may not be until tomorrow because she is tired.

Pictures of Us

Today, I thought I would just show you some photos of Scout, myself and Piggy our new stuffie.

Here is Piggy. Piggy is the stuffie that Mama bought us this weekend. He has 16 squeakers and a rattle in his head. He is the ultimate squeaky toy.

Scout with Piggy. Scout is not into toys like I am. She is learning, but her attention span is very short.

Here I am with another toy. Mama hates this one because the squeaker is really loud and once I start playing with it, I play with it for at least 10 minutes.

Daddy is talking to me in this picture. I love my Daddy.

Yep, Scout and I both love Daddy. He gives the best ear rubs.

Matching Collars?!

You are not going to believe what Mama did! She made Scout and I matching collars. No, it's not cute! I am a boy. I do not want to match my sister! My skin cousins have enough trouble telling us apart and with matching collars...oh, I don't even want to think about it.

Scout doesn't think it's an issue, but she's a girl. Girls are strange.

Mama said she wants us to wear them on Memorial Day while we are camping. People are going to laugh at me, I just know it.

Home Again - Part 3

Well, we just realized that we didn't finish telling you about the rest of our trip home.  I don't know if we even remember the res...
