Being A Beach Boy Is Exhausting!

I thought living at the beach would be relaxing.  It isn't!  Mom has me walking on the beach twice a day.  I have even started running in the water a little.  There is a problem though.  I either need a longer leash or a Mom who can run faster.

We look for shells, but this amount is not all over.  It is just in one small section that we walk.  It reminds us of Marco Island.

A pumpkin on the beach!

This was the sunrise this morning.

Mom got really excited when she saw this shell.  She thought someone put it out as a joke because she has never found one this big at any beach.  It wasn't a joke. She found more!

This made Mom's day!

I told Mom yesterday that I just couldn't do an afternoon walk.  I needed my rest.  I am almost ten after all. She let me rest and rest I did.

We are taking a road trip this weekend.  We are taking the RV to a dealership where it will find a new home.  We will spend one more night in it. Mom is looking forward to sleeping in a bed that doesn't sink. She said it is a good thing that she and Dad have lost so much weight because otherwise, they might sink to the floor.  BOL!  It will be a little sad leaving the RV, but we know the beach is waiting for us.

I Am A Beach Boy!

We have moved to the beach!  We are not in the condo that we rented because they are still working on the renovation.  There was a problem with the tile guy and the painter not getting along.  They were supposed to be finished last Wednesday.  Our agent put us into the condo right next to it.  It is normally not a rental, but she knows the owners and they said we could stay here until ours is ready.  The problem is that we really can't unpack because: 1) the kitchen is full of their stuff and 2) we don't want to have to pack everything up again to move a few feet.  We moved in on Saturday and work was being done on ours then and today.  We can kind of see a little from the outside windows and it looks like it is still going to be a while.  The owner is putting in new floors, cabinets, furniture and painting.  It will basically be a new place when we move in. We hope we can move soon.  We have storage bins stacked up in this one.  Mom said the bed is really, really soft and she hates it.

Mom was concerned that I might not like the elevator, but I have become a pro at it.  It's not a big deal.  I have learned though that if I stick my nose out too far, the doors will not close.

The first night we were here, Mom couldn't get our TV to work.  It was kind of ironic because she spent two hours on Friday helping our neighbor at the RV park to get hers to work.  Mom called our agent who called the repairman.  We needed a new TV and our cable needed to be activated.  The owners haven't been here in a while, so it was deactivated.  It is all good now.  Oh, there is not a TV in the bedroom and Mom really misses that.  The folks fall asleep to the TV.  Basic cable is included, but Dad likes HBO and Showtime.  They bought an Amazon Fire Stick yesterday and that seems to have solved their problem. They will cancel Dish and save about $60 a month.

The last two mornings, we have taken long walks on the beach.  I love how the sand feels on my paws.  Today, I let the water touch my feet.  I am loving it!  After our walk yesterday, a big storm blew through.  Mom and I tried to get one walk in before it arrived.  We had a terrible time getting our door to open because the wind was blowing so hard.  It was crazy!  We heard there were 50 mph gusts.  A few awnings were lost at the RV park. We had to go back there to do a final cleaning on our RV and that is how we know.

We took a ton of photos, so we are just going to post them now.  Enjoy!

These are from Sunday morning:

Our building.  We are on the 4th floor.

These are from today. Apparently, watching the sunrise is exciting for the folks.

I was amazed at the grass on the beach.

Then, Mom took pictures of me on the balcony:

We were surprised this boat was so close to the shore.

That's all for today.  I think that is probably four times more than anyone really wanted to see but Mom couldn't decide which pictures to leave out.
