Family Fun Day

Today was "family fun day" at our house. What is that? It's a day when we spend the entire day with the pups. Today, we watched the Rams' game. It started out fun, but as you can see from Jack's reaction, it didn't end well. We lost big time.

Cheer up, Jack! I'll make you a homemade frozen treat to make up for it.

Jack Loves To Watch TV

This is my handsome Jack watching the same Halloween card as Scout. Jack is a big TV watcher and also watches my computer screen. Jack will watch TV for hours and definitely can tell when an animal is on the screen as opposed to people. He cries when he sees a greyhound on TV.

His favorite programs are AFV and anything on Animal Planet, but he is known to watch Judge Judy, The View and Guiding Light. Oh, he also likes tribal council on Survivor. I always leave the TV on for him when I leave the house. I usually leave it on either GSN or Food Network. I can't leave it on a station with animal shows because he has been known to attack the TV.

Jack is truly a couch potato when it comes to watching his TV.

Scout says "Happy Halloween!"

It looks like Scout has gotten into the Halloween frame of mind. I took this photo this morning while Scout listened to a Halloween e-card that was sent to me. Notice the "fang" hanging out of her mouth and her "red" eye. Spooky!

Got Toys?

In two years, Jack has gone from these three toys that his foster Mama sent along with him....

To this:

This does not include about 5 toys that are awaiting repairs and the outside toys. I think there may be about 5 outdoor toys.

How did this happen? I hate to think how much money has been spent on dog toys. I have bought many of the toys on clearance or on sale, but still. We have only added maybe 5 toys in the past year and I cannot see the need for new ones unless they are really, really cheap.

Scout does have a birthday coming up, but she would prefer food over toys.

Does anyone else have this obsession with toys for their dog or cat?

Home Again - Part 3

Well, we just realized that we didn't finish telling you about the rest of our trip home.  I don't know if we even remember the res...
