I have a silly sister!

This is my silly sister, Scout.

Let me tell you how silly my sister is. The girl forgets to eat and then totally freaks out when her tummy starts making noises. Mama has to get food in her stomach right away because Scout's tummy sounds like it is going to explode. It really scared me yesterday. I was getting ready to take cover because I thought she was going to blow up. You should have heard the noises her stomach was making!

Mama's best friend asked Mama if Scout's hair was really blond. Mama's best friend has blond hair, so I guess it is okay for her to say that. Anyway, as far as I know Scout is a true brindle and not a blond, but she is not the brightest hound that is for sure. I told Mama the next time she wants to add a dog to our pack, she needs to meet them in person first and not just go off of a picture on the Internet. You can't judge a pup by their picture. Actually, I thought Scout looked pretty goofy on her Internet picture, but Mama thought she was cute. Blah!

Reflecting on a Sunday

I spent the day reflecting and thinking about life.

Scout, however, chose to spend her day like this.

I can't believe we are even related.

I have a craving!

Have you ever had a craving for something but you couldn't satisfy it because what you want is no longer made or carried by a store near you? Well, I have been having this problem and it's my husband's fault. A few weeks ago, we were talking about foods we used to eat all the time. He mentioned Zero candy bars. I love those! My husband and I ate them all the time when we were dating. The filling is a combination of caramel, peanut and almond nougat. They are covered in a white fudge. I think the white fudge is what makes them really unique. The problem is I cannot find them anywhere around here. I have looked and looked. It has been driving me crazy. Well, the problem has been solved. I found them a few minutes ago on the Internet. I am so excited!

I found them here at bulk candy. This site will really make you hungry and will probably bring back a lot of memories. It actually made my heart beat fast. Do I have a problem? LOL

There is so much to choose from. If you like candy bars, they have it. If you like chocolate, it's there. If you like rock candy, it's just a click away. Rock Candy What about hard candy? Sure, they have it! Hard Candy

I'm such a big kid at heart. I still love eating the things that I did as a child and a teen. I'm not sure if I will ever grow up. What about you? Is there a favorite candy that you had as a child? Are you still able to find it? If not, check out this site and maybe you will be lucky like me and find something that you have been craving.

Oh and by the way, I'm telling my husband to order me some Zero bars for my birthday. LOL

Monday, Monday

Sorry I haven't been around for a few days. Mama has been busy with work and I haven't been able to get on the computer. She said we have been nominated for a few awards and we need to pick those up and post them. Mama hasn't been feeling the best lately, but thinks she is on the mend. I hope so. She is not much fun when she is not feeling well. Shhhh... don't tell her, but she gets a little cranky when she isn't feeling well.

Mama took Scout to a meet and greet yesterday. She left me behind with Daddy. She tricked me. I was in the house with her getting a treat and Daddy put Scout in the car. I saw Scout hanging out the car window. I think she was sticking her tongue out at me. Mama did bring me home a treat, but I would have rather have gone to town.

TGIF!

Scout is still using MY couch. Just look at her! She thinks she is something now.

Mama walked into the living room a few minutes ago and saw two feet sticking up in the air. Yep, it is Scout again on the couch and not me.

At least I have the big bed to myself while she is snoozing on the couch. :::sigh:::

The Weatherman Lied!

The weatherman lied to us last night. Mama and I watched the weather together and he said the rain and storms would hold off until 3 a.m. I went outside for my last trip before bedtime and it was pouring. I was not happy. Then, at 11 p.m., we were all snoring away and a big thunder bolt shook our house. Mama said it felt like it knocked the house off the foundation. She was exaggerating, but it really scared me. I jumped into bed with Mama and Daddy. I am not allowed in their bed at night time, but I was shaking so hard, that Mama said I could stay.

This weatherman is known for saying "the weather did just what I said it would do" when it doesn't. Does he think we don't pay attention to him or something? I'm not sure why we watch him.

Daddy is on a business trip today. I have to be the man of the house tonight. I hope the thunder booms stay away from us so that I can protect Mama better.

Grandma is home from the hospital. She is doing fine. She has a new hip now. Mama said they gave her new knees several years ago. My Grandma is like the bionic woman. LOL I hope she doesn't get mad at me for saying that. I love my grandma.

Scout is still getting up on the couch. She does it every day now. I have no place that is my own anymore. :-(

Happy Wednesday!

Scout is on the couch, Jack is not happy

Friends, gather around. I have a tale to tell you. Life as I knew it has ended. My stinky sister has invaded my couch. Daddy said that if you give women an inch, they take it all. He is so right.

Just look at her. She thinks she is something now.

This morning, she was on the couch with Mama. I wanted on the couch, too, but there wasn't room for all three of us. As soon as Mama got up, I got on the couch. I thought she would jump down, but no, she puts her head on my butt. That girl has nerve! Mama came in the room and got all excited saying how cute we look. I gave Mama the laser eye look to show her I was not happy with the situation. No, I am not happy at all. This is definitely a sad day for me.

It's Mud Season

Most of the snow and ice melted today leaving us with mud. Scout decided to run in the yard. The girl loves to run in the mud.

I sat down in the living room tonight and noticed a greyhound on the couch. I assumed it was Jack because Scout doesn't get on the couch. I was wrong, it was Scout and she looked quite comfortable. It makes me wonder if she does this when we are away. LOL
I don't mind, in fact, I like it. She always wants to be petted and I would prefer her to be on the couch next to me instead of me on the floor with her. I like a dog to snuggle with and maybe Scout will start doing that with me.

Have a nice evening!
Patty

Ice is still here!

We still have ice. Mama said tomorrow will be better as the temperatures will get into the 50's. It's only 20 today. It looks like regular snow, but it's all frozen and very hard to walk on. Scout doesn't even like walking on it and she's a big goof ball.

Mama and Daddy were gone all day yesterday. They got their taxes done and they said it was very good news. They spent the rest of the day with Grandma. She may not come home for another day or two.

Mama did not have time to visit anyone's blogs yesterday and leave comments. She didn't get home until late. She didn't think about taking the computer to the hospital. She could have done some serious blog visiting if she had because they have free Wi-Fi. Scout and I didn't think they were ever going to get home. We really needed to go outside. We are not used to be left alone for that long. We are lucky because Mama is normally home with us all day long. We are spoiled according to Daddy.

Tuesday

Remember that fun snow Scout and I played in? Well, it is now ice. It is so slick out that it's hard for me to do my business. I hate it! It's not going to melt today or tomorrow. It's supposed to be in the 50's by the end of the week, so it will melt then... I hope.

My grandma is in the hospital. She had her hip replaced yesterday. That sounds painful. Mama and Daddy are going to visit her today and bring her a basket with puzzle books and some fun foods. I hope she feels better soon.

Mama is seeing the tax person today. Taxes make Mama very stressed and cranky.

That's it for now friends. Mama needs the computer to work, so I have to sign off.

Super Bowl

We thought we were having company because Mama and Daddy were cleaning the house this morning. Daddy says they were just moving the "big chunks". That's what he says when they are just picking up things and not deep cleaning. We are not sure why they cleaned. They even washed the sheets and we hate that.

Yesterday, the weather was nice and they took us to the park. Unfortunately all the snow that was piled on the road was on the shoulder and it was hard for us to walk there. We had to walk on the road and that is not much fun for us. We like to sniff and mark.

Mama made our camping reservations for our vacation in June. We are going to a greyhound event in Abilene, KS. Mama says they are having a fun run and we will be able to run just like in the old days. It should be a fun time and we will take our laptop with us and keep everyone posted on our adventures.

Are you watching the Super Bowl tonight? We are cheering for the Cardinals for two reasons. They used to be in St. Louis (which is close to where we live) and because of Kurt Warner. He used to be a St. Louis Ram and took us to our last two Super Bowls.

Home Again - Part 3

Well, we just realized that we didn't finish telling you about the rest of our trip home.  I don't know if we even remember the res...
