Still On The Road

We have been having fun camping, except it stormed last night. Today, it turned cold and it is so windy. The motor home keeps shaking. Scary stuff!

We have been on lots of walks and met some very nice people. There are huge birds here that live along the stream. Daddy said they are called turkey vultures. We were walking last night and this siren went off. The siren told the people to stop fishing and then all the turkey vultures flew close to us. It's a strange place.

Jack did the "greyhound scream of death" yesterday. If you don't know what that means, it is when a greyhound screams like something is killing them and it turns out to be nothing at all. Mama and Daddy immediately checked his foot because he was holding it up in the air and they thought maybe he stepped on a fish hook or something bad like that. It was nothing. As soon as they told him he was fine, he put his foot down and started prancing around like normal. He made quite a scene though and lots of people were saying "Oh,no, he is okay?" My brother is a goof.

Reporting To You From The Road

We are on our way to do some trout fishing. The sky is blue right now. We are expecting nice temperatures until tomorrow night and then rain is supposed to come in bringing with it cooler temperatures.

Here I am as we are traveling down the highway.

We stopped at a rest area. Jack and I did some sniffing and exploring.

I will update when I can. Mams said we may not have Internet at the campsite. She will have withdrawals again.

Camping Time

It's busy around here this week. We are headed out for another camping trip tomorrow. Mama went to the store yesterday and bought all sorts of food for the trip.

Mama made us some frozen treats. We get to take those camping with us, but she gave us each one this morning because we were being a pain. Hey, it works for us.

Pardon the butt shot of me. My butt is really not that big, it's just the way I am laying and the camera adds ten pounds.

I will try to update you during our trip, but we may not have Internet service.

It's Collar Crazy Around Here

Mama thought it would be funny to take a photo of us wearing all the collars that she has made us so far. Yeah, it's really funny Mama. At least she is not crocheting scarves any more.

The snow came and went

This is it? This is what we waited all week for, an inch of snow? What a let down!
No hamsters, no gooey butter cake and no bowling balls!

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit today. Jack and I have haven't seen them since cookie baking day in December. It was fun having visitors.

Mama made us new collars today!

How many collars does she think we need?

Another Snow Update

This snow prediction is getting very dangerous here. Do you know what they said tonight? FOX 2 in St. Louis said that the snowflakes would be....

BOWLING BALL SIZE SNOWFLAKES!!!!

We are not making this stuff up. If we were making this up, we would make up things that Mama had cute graphics for. LOL

The snow is supposed to happen after 2 a.m. so we will probably miss it and not be able to report the true size...unfortunately. One of the weather men is known for saying "it happened just like I told you" even when it didn't, so it will be interesting to hear what he has to say tomorrow. He predicted the hamster size.

Gooey Butter Cake Sized Snowflakes?

The weather man tonight on KMOV in St. Louis said that we could see Gooey Butter Cake sized snowflakes tomorrow night. I am not kidding you! Mama and Daddy just looked at each other and laughed. We have gooey butter cake when we camp and let me tell you, it's bigger than a hamster. Scout and I definitely need helmets if this happens. Luckily, it's supposed to happen while we are sleeping, but I may just have to stay up for this snow event. It sounds like it could be unbelievable.

Mama tried to make a picture to show you what it will look like with Scout standing outside in the snow with Gooey Butter Cake sized snowflakes coming down around her, but she didn't have a graphic for a gooey butter cake, so she used a wedding cake. It's close, but has too many layers. She also couldn't find a motorcycle helmet, so she just put a hat and a scarf on Scoutie. It doesn't provide her with much protection from those falling gooey butter cakes, but she tried.

Stay tuned for more updates on our weather!

Home Again - Part 3

Well, we just realized that we didn't finish telling you about the rest of our trip home.  I don't know if we even remember the res...
