I'm posting some photos of us in the fun run. Here is Scout. She did pretty good after they told her what to do. Mama has some funny photos of her when she came out of the box and didn't know what to do, but here she is running.
Here I am. See the dirt flying as I am coming out of the box?
It was so much fun! Mama and Daddy can't stop talking about it.

Fun Run - Video
Tonight was the fun run. It was so exciting. I couldn't believe I was back at the track. As soon as I heard the lure, I went nuts. I mean completely nuts. I was trying to get at it. Mama and Daddy both had to hold me down. Daddy ended up taking me out to the car until my turn. When they were putting my racing silks on and I was waiting my turn, Mama had to straddle me to hold me down. I'm sure it was quite funny looking. Daddy was holding unto my collar and Mama was straddling me. Scout didn't care. The lure didn't excite her. We knew that Scout never raised, but we thought she went to school. It's obvious now that she didn't. You know what Scout did? They put her in the box to start the race and when the box opened, Scout walked out and looked around. Everyone laughed at her. They decided to just let her race the lure without the starting box. Here is her video. It's not very good because we do not have a video camera, this is just Mama's regular camera. Mama is tickled to have this memory though.
This is me running. Again, the quality is not very good, but Mama loves it. Even replaying this gets me excited.
After the race we were cooled down and later we were given yogurt and we each received a medal. A photographer was at the fun run taking photos. Mama hopes to frame the photos with our medals. She is so proud of us.
Mama and Daddy left us a lot today. They said we needed to rest up for the "Fun Run" which is tonight.
They toured another greyhound farm. They saw a lot of puppies.
They also visited the National Greyhound Association. Mama said it was interesting, but I fell asleep while she was telling me about it.
I'll update you after the fun run, but don't wait up because we will be out late tonight. There will be yogurt after the fun run and awards. It will probably be 10 p.m. when we get back. That's really late for us.

Saw My Bio Daddy!
This afternoon, we walked past the Greyhound Hall of Fame. My bio Daddy was not happy. He started barking and running in front of the window. He was not happy that I was on his property. It's not like I was coming asking for money or anything. Sheesh! Mama just wanted to have our photo taken in front of the sign. The Hall of Fame lady put him in the back room and came out to meet me since I was one of his sons. We told her that we didn't want to upset him. She said he carries on like that when any dog walks past the Hall of Fame. He is like a real watch dog. We are not like that at all. We don't bark. A burglar would have to trip over us to get hurt.
Mama and Daddy went to a greyhound farm today. They saw puppies. They came home smelling like them. They did buy us some good treats at the event, so that was good. Also, Mama brought us home part of her hamburger from dinner, so we guess we will forgive her.
Jack,
Whose bio Daddy doesn't want him around
Here he is....
...my biological Daddy!
Mama and Daddy went to the Greyhound Hall of Fame yesterday and met him. Mama said she can see where I got my good looks. She said Talented Mr. Ripley is very sweet. He lives at the Greyhound Hall of Fame. Mama saw his award for being in the hall of fame.
Scout's Grandfather is there, too, but not him, just his award.
Our Great Grandfather's award is also there.
There are greyhounds camping next to us. Do you want to know how many? 15! That's right, there are 7 in one motor home and 8 in another. Yikes! They have set up a long pen between the two motor homes so they can just come in and out and they run from one end of the pen to the other. Scout and I were surprised to see other greyhounds even though Mama kept telling us we would.
Mama and Daddy took a trolley tour of Abilene last night. The trolley came right to the campground and picked them up. They said it was interesting. Scout and I just waited here wondering if they were going to take us to Sonic for the free root beer floats. They didn't. They came home and took us for a long walk though.
Today, Mama and Daddy will leave us again for a while. They will do some shopping at the greyhound event and then they get to go to a greyhound farm. Mama is excited about that. Tonight, they will go back to the Greyhound Hall of Fame because it is opening tonight just for the greyhound event and offering a discount on shopping.
Tomorrow is even a busier day and we may go with them for some of the seminars. Tomorrow night is the fun run!
