A New Frame

On our last camping trip, Mama bought this frame. She doesn't like to have her picture taken, so the middle photo is from before Scout was adopted. Ah, those were the days. It was just me in the house. I didn't have to share bones, toys, treats or food. I think I liked being an only hound, but Scout can be fun at times. She's such a silly girl. Do you know what she did last night? She was laying on the floor and I walked by and she rolled over and asked me to rub her belly. Who does she think I am? I don't rub anyone's belly.

Monday Evening

We may keep this background for now. It's kind of growing on us.

Mama was very busy with work today and while we don't like that, it means more money which equals more treats. We have to look at the big picture.

Mama has fish sticks in the oven. The smell is getting us very excited. We love fish!!!

We are going camping this weekend and Grandma and Grandpa are coming, too. We will be at the lake and the weather is supposed to be wonderful.

It's Family Fun Day!

Today is family fun day at our house. Jack and I shared the couch.

(Pardon the glowing eyes. Mama tried to fix them, but she couldn't on this photo. She told us to just live with it.)

Then, Jack and I played with a new toy that Mama bought us yesterday at Petsmart. It was on clearance. We have a room full of toys, but Mama said she couldn't pass this stuffie up. This stuffed pig has 16 squeakers. You read that correctly....16! We are having lots of fun with it.

I helped Mama fold towels. She said she wished she had a camera because I was so cute. I laid down and used her folded towels as my pillow. I keep telling her that she needs to carry the camera with her at all times because my cuteness just comes out naturally.

I'm not sure what else will happen today. It has been raining since last night, so we will only be going outside when absolutely necessary. Our backyard is still a mess. Did I tell you that they blocked it off from us because they are trying to get grass to grow? I don't see any new grass coming up. I'm going crazy not being able to run my imaginary track. Mama said it will probably be blocked off for 30 days. ....sigh... I'm learned to run in a straight line, but I have to be careful because there is a fence at the bottom of the hill. I get going so fast that I almost crash into it.

Have a nice day!

Guess what?

Mama just told me that my sister is planning on coming to the greyhound event in Kansas that we are also attending. She is traveling all the way from Rayham, MA. I think that is how you spell it. I haven't seen her in a few years. It will be fun to see one of my sisters again. Mama said that Jack's real Daddy will also be there, but that Jack and I will not be able to meet him because he lives at the Greyhound Hall of Fame. He's alive. He's not a museum piece or anything like that. He greets people. That's his job now. He's like a Walmart greeter.

Also, I already have plans for Labor Day weekend. We are going camping. That's a big surprise. LOL I love living in a forever home because you are never alone on the holidays.

I Passed!

I passed my exam! Yesterday, Mama took me to the vet. I was so scared. I had to wait in the exam room for 20 minutes because the vet was running late. He said he had seen 22 dogs and cats in that day alone, which is a lot. I could hear dogs crying. I didn't know what they were going to do to me. Scout sat out in the car. She wanted to come in, but Mama said she could only handle one of us at a time. Scout could have taken my place. I wouldn't have minded.

The vet was kind of nice, but I don't like him. He gave me two shots and looked at my teeth. He tried to scrape my front tooth, but I really didn't like that, so he didn't do that again. He told us that the daily teeth brushing was working and he did not recommend that I be put under to have my teeth clean. That was a huge relief. Greyhounds are very sensitive to anesthesia and Mama really didn't want them to do that to me. She has known several greys that have died from that.

I gave Mama the stink eye on the way home. I'm still pretty upset that she took me there. She's trying to make it up to me, but I'm not letting her off that easy.

Jack,
The greyhound who is glad that his exam is over!

Home Again - Part 3

Well, we just realized that we didn't finish telling you about the rest of our trip home.  I don't know if we even remember the res...
