Sometimes.....

I like to rough it.

Mama says I'm spoiled, but what spoiled dog turns down beds for the floor? Exactly!

Snow!

We can't believe that we haven't updated our blog for a week! We've been busy, but not that busy. We've been walking Mama every day on our muddy road. It snowed on Friday, so now our road is covered with snow and ice instead of mud. Scout fell on her butt yesterday as we left the driveway, but she was fine. We are supposed to get more snow tonight.

Mama has been doing her Wii Fit Plus. Scout HATES it! As soon as she hears the click on the TV, she runs to the bedroom. Daddy says it's probably safer for Scout to be out of the way anyway. It doesn't bother me except when Mama messes up because then she screams.

We watched the dog show on Saturday night. A greyhound won the hound category. We were all very excited!

Mama took some photos of Scout in the snow. I prefer my bed to playing in the snow, so no photos of me.

Mama says she might enter these in the calendar contest. Scout has been in the CG Calendar the past two years, but Mama has had a hard time getting good pictures of us this year.

Time to go! Mama needs to get back to work which means I need to get off the computer.

Have a greyt day!

I Need A Bigger Bed

I think I need a bigger bed. What do you think? Actually, I like to sleep like this. I woke up with a smile. It's not a growl, it's a smile. I never growl or I don't think I have. I'm a happy girl!

I Like My Routine!

Mama was being strange this morning and did not follow our normal routine. She bought a Wii Fit Plus last week and it says she is not balanced and after this morning, I think it's true. We normally get up and go outside and then she takes a shower, fixes breakfast, starts a fire in the fire place, takes us for a walk and then we try and settle down while she starts work. Today, she attempted to start a fire, but the wood was wet. It took her close to two hours to get it going. While she waited on the fire, she fixed breakfast, then we went outside. She moved our beds into the office, but put them in the wrong order. She worked on the fire more and then after much persistence on our part, she took us for a walk. I think she planned on skipping that today. It was icy and she was nervous that she was going to fall. I got in trouble for pulling. I never get in trouble, well not very often. I told her I was sorry when we got back in the house and she gave me a big hug. I think not following a routine puts Mama in a bad mood.

Oh, by the way, we wore our coats the other day because it was very cold. We have decided that if it's cold enough to wear coats then it is too cold to walk.

We have new collars for Valentine's Day. Mama made them last week. It's a little embarrassing to match my sister, but I look good and that's what matters.

We may go to town tonight and get a pizza. We need something fun to do after the morning we had.

More New Coats!

Mama went shopping earlier this week and bought more fabric for coats. She is attempting once again to make me a camouflage coat. She is making Scout one that is either a leopard or a cheetah. We are not sure what it is. Scout says she feels pretty in the material.

We think the coats turned out pretty good. Mama is not happy with the top stitching she put on mine. She decided not to put a top stitch on Scouts and likes it better.

We like these coats and we've learned that being models is very rewarding. We get treats for modeling!

The weather has turned warmer here, so we won't be needing to wear our new coats for a while. Daddy said we would take a ride in the RV today because it needs to be run even in the winter, but our road is so muddy that we probably are not going to get to go. Mama is scared that the motor home could get stuck. Daddy has been talking about camping and we thought he took off work on Friday to take us camping, but we misunderstood. He and Mama WENT to a camping show. They didn't buy us anything though.

Mama's Sewing Again.....Quick, HIDE!

Today, Daddy went to Grandpa's house to help him install some doors in the basement. Mama stayed home with us. We thought it would be fun, but she got the sewing machine out. That can be a scary experience for us. She makes things that are embarrassing to wear and then there are the endless fittings.

She tried a new pattern today and we didn't hear much cussing from her, so that was a good sign. She had us come in a few times to try on the coat and then she gave us treats, so it wasn't so bad. The coat doesn't really look like the picture on the pattern. It's supposed to be just one layer of fabric and she didn't like that, so she added a denim layer to the top and fleece to the bottom. She also added like a turtle neck to it. It actually looks like a coat. She even put some pretty stitching on it.

She noticed tonight that it is a little tight on Scout, so the next one needs to be enlarged, but it is wearable.

Are you ready to see it?

Mama can't wait to go to the store and buy more fabric. YIKES!
