Yep, it's three more weeks until Dad comes home. It's one more week until I am off of restrictions. I have a feeling that I'm still not going to be allowed to run though. Mama is nervous about it. I will probably have to work my way up to chasing bunnies.
My New Freedom Harness is here. We have pictures of it, but they are on Mama's new phone and she doesn't know how to put them on the computer yet. Mama is very happy with how I am walking with it. She says I'm 95% better. However, I'm still not good enough to allow Scout to walk with us. Scout and I together equal trouble.
This morning, we walked down this road that I love to walk down, but I'm only allowed to do so if I am wearing my harness. It's downhill and I can really take Mama for good pulling if I am wearing my regular collar. This morning, we saw goats and horses. The horses were very interested in me. They ran up to the fence which made Mama very nervous. She didn't know what they were going to do. I wanted to get to them as much as they wanted to get to me. Mama took pictures, but they are on the phone, so you just have to imagine it.
Mama left the house on Wednesday with very straight, limp hair and came back with curly hair. How did that happen? Nope, no pictures of the hair.
Not much has been going on. It's been cool enough to leave the front door open, so I lay in front of it and watch the traffic. I was surprised when the neighbors chicken appeared in our driveway the other day.
Here are a few pictures that we took tonight. See Scout is HUGE compared to me. BOL
My leg is looking good. The hair is growing back and my scar doesn't look bad.
Sorry our post is so boring tonight. I wanted to catch a lizard and talk about that, but Mama wouldn't let me. She really needs to let me do more so that I have something to write about.

It's Hot!
It may get up to 92 today! What is up with that? We've been in the 80's for a while now which is not normal. It was 89 yesterday. We basically stayed inside except for our walks and bunny patrols.
We got some good news last night. When Daddy returns from his trip, we are going on a two week trip! It could be longer, but we won't know that until we are probably on the road. Mama doesn't know if she should disconnect the cable before we leave home or not. If we really are gone for an extended time, we don't want to pay for it. The equipment has to be returned and we don't want to leave that for someone else to do. She will probably disconnect it and use the portable satellite system if we have to come home. So here's the deal. When Daddy comes home from St. Thomas, he is taking a week of vacation. We are going to stay in a few state parks in Alabama and then we will head to Marco Island because he has a meeting there the following week. We may have to head back home after that if he is sent back to St. Thomas. It's not how we wanted our huge adventure to go, but there's not a whole lot we can do about it. Daddy is really enjoying the work, so that's good.
Mama mowed the front yard on Friday. You should have seen how red her face was when she came in. She took a shower and it was still red. She cut the grass at 8:30 a.m., so it's not like it was really hot. I played her another serenade on the hedgehog, but then Scout stole it from me.
How early is too early when it comes to cutting grass? Mama thought she might be pushing it when she cut the grass at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, but a neighbor cut his grass on Sunday at 7:15 a.m. We think he was rude cutting his grass that early, especially on a Sunday. We really don't have houses right next to us, but he lives a little further up the road and has houses all around him.
My new harness should arrive today. I am not excited about it. It doesn't sound fun. Mama says I need training.
My leg has been hurting a little. Mama cut my medicine back and I was doing fine, but I think it is hurting because I'm walking on it more. I took a little medication this morning, so hopefully that helps. I really enjoy my walks, so I hope I don't have to cut back on those.

Passing The Time
There's not a whole lot going on here. We are counting the days until Daddy comes home. In two weeks, I am off of restrictions which means Mama can take us places in the Jeep. I will be able to get in and out on my own. I'm excited. Mama looked at ramps this week, but decided that since it's just two more weeks, we can save the money and not buy one. It will be fun to get out of the house again and go for an evening drive with Mama. We are walking up and down our road for exercise. I guess I'm being a little hard to handle, so Mama ordered me a New Freedom Harness yesterday. It's supposed to help with pulling. Mama just needs to walk faster, in my opinion.
Mama cut the grass in the backyard Wednesday night. I watched her from the deck. Her technique needs work, but she got it done. I was so excited that I gave her a hedgehog serenade. Yep, I squeaked that hedgehog like crazy. She laughed. She's going to cut the front yard this morning.
Apparently snake bites are up in the area this year. We saw it on the news last night. We really didn't need to see that. Mama worries about snakes enough.
Mama worked on her Wriggly Crochet for quite a while and decided it wasn't for her. LOL She has moved on to making dish cloths. Her plan is to make a table runner, but we will see. Her concentration has not been very good this week.
Daddy said he went to a buffet Wednesday night. He didn't ask the price so he was shocked when the bill arrived. The buffet was $47. He said it was good, but it didn't have anything special on it. The waitress told him to come back on Thursday because they serve crab legs. I bet that buffet costs even more. He seems to be doing well and is enjoying the work there.

Staying Busy
We've been keeping busy this week. Mama bought mulch on Monday and put that in the front of the house. It looks good. Yesterday, we didn't do a whole lot. We took two walks and Mama worked on learning crochet again. She wants to do this thing called Wiggly Crochet. That's fine with us because it doesn't look like she will be making anything for us with it. Scout said the last time she crocheted, she made scarves for her and Jack. I know there are photos, but I can't find them and maybe I shouldn't remind Mama. She might decide to make one for me.
Daddy is able to call us from the Virgin Islands on his cell phone. The first night, the reception was terrible. Last night, he called from outside his room and it was much better. Mama heard a cruise ship come in as he was talking to her. He said that mama wouldn't like it there because there are iguanas every where. They are in the trees, on the ground, etc. Mama doesn't like iguanas.
The weather is the same in the Virgin Islands as it is here right now. That's strange. Our weather is just warmer than normal.
We were asked if Scout is bigger than me. Yes, she is. We don't have a good picture that shows it though. She says she is bigger than me because I'm the little brother. Mama calls me the little guy. I'm not that little. I weigh 75 pounds. However, I look small compared to big-boned Scout. LOL
