Lots Of Birds At Prado County Park

We have been staying at the Prado County Park in Chino, CA for the past two weeks.  We leave tomorrow for another campground.  The park is very spacious.  The weekends get crazy here!  It has been sold out on weekends.  The week days are pretty quiet.  The views are nice.  The days are long here though because Dad is gone for 14-16 hours a day.  It is because of the bad traffic.  He leaves at 5:30 a.m. and normally gets home around 8 p.m.  Last night, he didn't get home until 8:30 p.m.  We hope that changes next week when we are closer to his work.

Last weekend, there was a big event here called the Warrior Dash.  We watched them build things and set up all last week. Saturday morning, they started playing really loud music at 6 a.m.  We were up, so it didn't bother us, but I bet some people were not thrilled with that.  I, of course, love crowds and add music to it and it is hard to hold me back.  I don't know why Mom didn't allow me to welcome all the people to the event.

There is a lot of walking area here.  Our favorite walks are in the morning when the air is still crisp.  We attempted to walk around the lake this morning, but decided it was just too far.  I could do it, but we were concerned that Scout might get tired and just lay down.  We walked a good distance and we enjoyed seeing the wildlife.  We even saw a skunk.  Yep, a skunk in daylight. He was near the playground.  Mom said we needed to get away from him, but Scout and I wanted to talk to him.  Mom insisted we leave, so we did.  Dad said he has seen peacocks here, but we haven't.

See the brown guy there?  He didn't appreciate us trying to photograph him.

People seem to loose their shoes here.  These have been here for two days.  What is up with that?

Socks are missing their owner.

We scared this guy and he tumbled down the hill.

He landed on his back, so Mom flipped him over and he went on his way.
This weekend, there is a fishing derby for kids.  We are wondering how crowded it will be for that.

I guess that walk was more tiring than I first thought.

  2. It's like you're living in a nature preserve. I don't think skunks speak greyhound :)
